Neither am I. I PMed another member awhile ago and i know he go t the message but it is not in my SENT items nor is the one I sent you.
Also the Assistant only comes up when i login for the first time every FireFox session. I think this may be a Linux thing though since alot of other forums also have the same issue (Ubuntu and BC are 2) even though it works fine in Windows with FireFox (It should come up everytime I refresh or goto a new page if I have a new message. right?)

I'm getting the correct number for Sent, and Received messages, but the Message Tracker isn't working.
I track all messages, and there are none shown under Read Messages, or Unread Messages.

When you send a message are you making sure you put a check next to the "add item to sent items folder"? THis new version of IPB does not check it by default.

What about my problem, Grinler?
DSTM,
Click New Messages, at the top of the page.
Under Menu, click Compose New Message.
Under the window you compose your message in, you'll see 2 Options:
Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder
Track this message?
Putting a check next to, Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder, will save a copy of your Sent messages.

The message tracker is working for me now,
BUT the PM notification is screwed up.
I'm getting notified of PM's, via PM notification, which I have selected, but I'm also being notified by E-mail.
I'd like the E-mails to stop.
Having both types of notification, isn't even an option.
I must be, special.

So you get an email when a new pm comes in? Whats the other way you are getting notified?
To stop the emails go into the My Controls and click on board settings. You can turn off pm notification via email from there.

No I can't.
I'm getting both.
Of the three choices:
No Notification
Notify Via Email
Notify Via Personal Messenger (PM)
I'm getting the last 2, when I only have Notify Via Personal Messenger (PM) selected.

goathead -
Check also your settings in:
My Controls
The "Options" heading, Email settings.
You will see an option to be notified by email if you get a PM there, too.
Make sure it is not checked.

Thanks,
JohnWho.
That was it.
Now, to see if it takes.
I knew about that setting, and had it disabled.
That's the first thing I do, is to disable all E-mail notifications.
Maybe it got re-set when my other problem,
Can't edit Personal Portal Information, was corrected.
I don't know, maybe ghosts on the board?

Uh, guess we need to keep an eye on that Paranormal forum, huh?
Anyway, glad I could help.
