I'm sure some of you must be snappers. Post some of your pictures for us all to see. I'll start.

Wow! Whoever said that it takes no talent to snap wonderful photos is incorrect - how I'd love to have this magic arrive when I push down the shutter! The photos are great and thank so much for sharing!

Had a bit of a wander around the old farm and found these.
A silent sentinel watching over the past.

Shining in the sun, too pretty not to photograph.

And yeah, I know it's a weed!

#2 may be a weed, but it shows very pretty here on my screen.
#1 may just be a stump of its form self, and a time well past, but it's still art for some of us from old backgrounds and places of such.
Thanks for the show!

What a talented group! Thanks so much for sharing your pictures.

I'll try to get some of my own images up on Photobucket over the next few days.

They always do, Conundrum.
Thanks to all who share these really great pictures with us all. They inspire me, at least, to use my camera even if I can't match the skill shown in this thread.

Thanks guys,
I appreciate that you think I have some "skill" with a camera but I am very much a learner with a new camera that has buttons I haven't even used yet or figured out what they do.
(I guess I must be doing ok by the comments.)

Hey Jim,
Skill with the camera can't hold a candle to having artistic sense and a good eye, and you most certainly do!
Mara
Dec 19 2007, 12:36 AM
So very true because without that artistic sense and a good eye, you end up taking photos like I do - mediocre at best, sadly. Your photos are
wonderful, Jim - please keep up updated with me as you figure out what all those buttons on the camera are for!

Nice pics everyone! We definitely have some great talent around here.
This is my female Dashund. She purposefully pushed the pillow over and crawled under it...

Wow help4me, I just love that sunlight shot. These are the sort of shots I have trouble with. I haven't figured out the correct light settings yet.
Meanwhile I keep taking my flower shots.

Jim, your photography is wonderful, you have a great eye!

The first one is my favorite, I love the cloud reflections.

Thanks Vicki.
I didn't even notice that the clouds were visible in the water but not above until someone commented about it.

What terr

ific shots - beautiful, unusual and very envy-making! Congratulations to all, these are a real pleasure t

o view.
No one's getting 'on my goat', but I feel a little 'sheepish' putting these up in such illustrious company..... hope you find them amusing - oh the flowers are on a rarely blooming cactus - the blooms last about 24 hours, so I managed to get them before they wilted.

You could just move it to the end of your text.
I'd add a blank line or two, too.

Thanks Jim. I'm not sure how it will turn out and it takes me a while sometimes to get a new one going. I've got 2 in the works now but I will give a try at one of your pics. I love your Avatar by the way, I did a little painting of a Monarch,I'm a flutterby person myself. I'll scan it and may put it in here for you.

I've been out with the camera again. This is Somerset Dam. It is one of the dams in our water supply chain that feeds into another larger dam. There is finally enough water in this dam to release some into the lower dam after nearly 4 years of drought.
I got a bit damp getting this shot, lots of spray around.

Full set of pics on my website.
