The rules are quite simple.

Each player, by substituting one letter from the word immediately above, makes a new word.

Simple example:

"Dog"

then

"Dot" (the g is replaced with t)- - - or "Dig" or "Ado," e.g..

(Boggle or Scrabble players will have an edge).
Now of course, we don't want to make it all that simple. So I will begin the game with:
