Snipes is a good man. I don't know why he tried tax evasion, but I can't really blame him. Government taking all our money and such, but he still broke the law. The government only cared so much because he's rich and they didn't get all their rich taxes. Someone like you or me, we'd have gotten it a lot easier. Example of him my butt; they're just mad he tried to keep his hard earned millions from them.

I'm sad he's going to prison sad.gif. At least his 5th degree black belt will keep him safe... a little bit.

Many stars fall foul to this. Possibly bad advice from there accountant.

Shouldn't think anyone should be so rich that he or she doesn't pay attention to their own monies - and keep an exceptional eye on their accountant.

Hopefully he, and others, wouldn't receive a jail sentence lest they were fully aware of the cheating of the tax man? Otherwise, isn't it usually a huge fine only?

Some people would rather do the jail or gaol(to use the UK spelling) time and keep the cash if possible. laugh.gif

Case to point - Jeffrey Archer, politician/author - did his time in luxury and kept his cash... if you have access to lots of cash, you can be quite comfortable in pokey....

If you read the 'last post info' on the main forum index, it looks like Wesley Snipes is in trouble with the last person to post(well, if you ignore the In and By).
