blink.gif I watched on dvd the latest Spiderman...think it was 4..could be 3..whatever...and and..IT WAS PANTS!! angry.gif

What a bad film....okay the flying sequences and the really really evil black spidey (the one with the teeth) was pretty scarey..but the rest..what a mess! Really hated the Saturday Night Fever thing that went on..what the hecky peck was that about??

Does anyone else agree or disagree?

well lets start with the movie's biggest flaw:
1)Topher Grace (Eric from That 70's Show) as Eddie Brock. Eddie Brock was supposed to be a big bulky guy to start with, not a whiny little guy (the whiny one is always Spidy, even in the comics)
2)The Black Suit Saga deserved its own movie not one tied into the Sandman Saga.
3)Both the Black Suit Saga and the Sandman Saga were written for adults, not preteens like the movie was.

BTW I think all the Spidy movies are horrible excuses to ruin a good comic book series. In general I hate all Marvel/Universal movies with the exception of The Punisher and Ghostrider.

And no i'm not one of those comic book fanboys so dont ask me what happened on page 5 of Ultimate Spiderman Issue 35. I'll just call up my buddy john and let him give you the answer (he's my main source of all info Marvel and where I learned most of this)

I liked it but agree that it was not as good as either of the two before it.

"I think they just pushed this one out the door."

Well it took 3 years when the other two took just 2. You would think it would be a better movie. Its just the action was great but all action and a lame story line makes the movie stink.

Im not a comic fan or should I say, I havent read any Marvel comics (the Beano was my choice of comic..British thing methinks!) but as with most things written then made into films, they tend to disappoint. I like Stephen King books (not all but most) and the film versions are always bad.

I just felt this was embarrasing and boring...as I said, only the special effects of the Sandman (reminded me of The Mummy actually, wonder if it was same folk?) and the very evil Black Suit were good along with the flying scenes..very clever!

I havent watched Ghostrider..now I must then..Nicholas Cage..hmmm..not sure about him..but thanks blackspyder..shall definitely get that out to watch! thumbup.gif

1 and 2 where good, 3 was worse and 4 was the biggest .... I ve seen in a long time. This being an "american" board, I am not going into details of what I think off Holywood movies , but rather only say that SM4 proved every prejudice there is about american movies.

Spiderman 4 may be in the works even as we speak, but the latest release it number three.

There are always going to be those that will enjoy a movie like this for the simple reason that you don't need to think to follow it. For those that are purist at heart you are doomed from the start, can you name of movie of the comic book genre that has stayed true to the origin? The Fantastic Four Silver Surfer in another example, although I do have to admit that I liked it better than SM3, but that isn't saying much.

3 is definitely the weakest of the bunch, with three main villains it meandered around way too much. It has some good parts, but it has a bunch of parts that are just downright stupid. The "disco walk" was pretty dumb, but mildly amusing, the dance at the jazz club made me want to gouge my eyes out. It was a big letdown from the wonderfully tight production that Spider-Man 2 was.

Blimey arcman..I had forgotten the dance in the Jazz Club..indeed it was a 'blinding' performance (not) *shivers*

Forgive a silly German. I got confused (again sad.gif ).
Please strike the 4 and make it 3. Still stand by my thoughts about the majority of american movies. I do like the ones Moore makes. I am keen to see his latest one.

Erm is it me, or did I just find another bug
