QUOTE
Residents of Padrame near Kokkoda in Uppinangady forest range sighted one such carnivorous tree trying to dine on a cow last Thursday. According to reports, the cow owned by Anand Gowda had been left to graze in the forests.

Not as insane as the people that report this stuff , I'm guessing what ever the Indian equivalent to "mescal" (the worm is not your friend) would be plus some questionable fungi (or other indigenous psychoactive ingestibles ) and a "few" hookah pipes full of hash was involved in this sighting , That or nature has come up with a way to deal with all the cows wandering around over there hysterical.gif

Hmm... WikiPedia isn't so sure about this one - Man-eating Tree.

It would make more sense if the tree was trying to eat a dog

when you consider what dogs do to the trees!
