No major league team has blown such a big lead in such a short time at the end of a season. The Amazin's held a seven-game lead on Sept. 12 with 17 games left. Now they are out of first place and nearly out of time, they're going to need help just to make the playoffs. They are a second-place team now for the first time since mid-May and playing poorly. I am Amazed at what I've seen.

And only a few weeks ago New Yorkers were talking about a "subway" series where the Yankees and the Mets would be in the World Series.

Somebody on the Mets must have pushed the "going down" button.

Moral of the story. If you keep using fake subway tokens, you will get caught.

So, the Mets win today, what, 13 to 0.

Could be a case of a lot of runs, but too late.

The overpaid Mets choked big time.
Now they can go to the playoffs only if they buy a ticket.

Me too, and I didn't have to play 162 games!

It's officially the biggest Choke in the History of Baseball.
As it turned out the Mets really only needed to play the last three.
My sympathy to their fans
