Why some of the threads here Gives Me the option to Browse My computer for the uploading of pics ( Down at the bottom Right ) & some dont. For example the test area. As in My Profile I was able to upload My Avitar without the use of photoshack. Thanks for any Info that might clear this up for Me. CB

An item you upload from your system to use as an Avatar will automatically be resized by board software to 90 X 90 pixels and 50 KB or less. The same for a personal photo 150 X 150 pixels and 50 KB.

All other photo's used on the TV must be hosted elsewhere. This is to minimize the load on Servers used and some security considerations also.

Actually, the main reason some forums give you the option to upload, is they are designed to share photos etc. For example, the following forums are designed so you can upload photos of your family, pets, and cards/motorvehicles:

Some sites will only allow one to post a thumbnail pic link also.

//Edit: Rats -Grinler! I just noticed that some "forums" here do allow the posting of pics. What an innovation! (ha ha)

Personally I think it's great to be able to post a pic so easily. I use Tinypic.com and as far as I can make out there is no provision for Thumbnails. Top inovation as long as Members don't abuse the privilage. thumbup2.gif
