Just want to share the game the brought me back to the PC gaming world:

Dreamfall The Longest Journey.

I'm primarily a console gamer (loyal Sony fangirl since the original Playstation!!!), mainly because I don't like shooters or MMORPGs, which, in my opinion, make up 80% of the PC gaming market. Sooo, I play my consoles.

However, while browsing the forums of one of my favorite games, (Beyond Good & Evil!!! smile.gif ), I read several remarkes that those who like BG&E will like Dreamfall. This summer, I decided to give it a try. (It was also an excuse to finally buy a good graphics card for my PC!!!!).

I bought and installed the graphics card, and bought the Game of the Year Edition of Dreamfall. It came with the prequel, The Longest Journey. After playing both of those games, I have been fervently looking for more PC games to play (while waiting for the sequel, Dreamfall Chapters, to come out!). I'm planning on getting Sam & Max: Season 1 on PC (fond memories of Sam & Max: Hit the Road and the TV show are seeping through right now), and I'm seeking more point-and-click games, and/or third person adventure games like Dreamfall.

Dreamfall was a beautifull game, and I can't wait to have more experiences like that on my PC!!!! wink.gif

Will have to try it (since our taste in games is very similar, love the Kos-Mos avatar)

I'll have to check this one out! I agree with you - there's too many shooters and MMORPGs out there that have no original substance to stand on.

Oh, yes. Dreamfall is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. I should point put that it is the second one in a trilogy. The first one came out a several years earlier an is named simply The Longest Journey, where April Ryan is the main character. The third installment is still in the making.

I should point out that there are several plot point which hangs together between them so playing both in order is preferable. Also the lovely talking crow makes has a bigger role than in the sequel.

The Game of the Year Edition for PC came with the original The Longest Journey as well. I played that first, then Dreamfall. They are two different games, but both are great! smile.gif
