While researching first birthday ideas for my son, I came across the most obnoxious parenting blog I've ever seen. Why do parents and frankly, strangers feel the need to judge other parents for making the best choices for their OWN family? And why is it anyone else's business? I'm not sure why this got under my skin so much, but it did. I don't plan in revisiting this site, EVER, but I'm just trying to erase it from memory.

I looked over the site and it seems to be done "tongue in cheek" more or less poking fun at "best parents". However you are right about people giving advice on child rearing. I have a daughter who is 15 now, and have gotton much unsolicited "advice" over the years.

Only the parent knows whats right for their children, because every child is different. There are some over the top behaviors parent exhibit that may warrent intervention by another, but for the general rearing of the child, mom's know their children and most can rely on their own good common sense to rear their child properly.
