Here's the deal. NIN and Trent Reznor have released a new album titled "The Slip" for free download from their website. The download comes with a *.pdf containing the album artwork. The music is licensed under a Creative Commons License.

I wonder what kind of precedence this is setting! This album is also available to buy as a CD from stores (like any other CD you buy). I've heard about this on XM satellite radio...they said that you have to give an email address and they send you a link to follow to download the album. I'll have to give it a whirl and see what happens.

I used one of my separate, free email addy's so I'm not concerned about giving it out.
