Obama & Clinton need a rest. I know that these candidates are going hard at one another, often seven days a week, 18 hrs a day.
Obama's statement, reflecting on AIDS, then runs into abortion stating: I will teach my daughters morals, then goes on to say, but "I" will let them know that if they make a mistake they don't need to be punished with a baby for the rest of their lives. Most Americans believe babies to be a gift from God, not a punishment. This statement angers me. I just went in with my own daughter, who is married & pregnant now. I got to see this little tiny heart beat going about 140 beats per minute, & she is only 7 weeks along. And then Obama comes up with a statement like this. YUCK! |

I wanted to make a comment about your post Orea, but I don't want to offend you. So I hope I say this right. I didn't get to see Obama's statement for myself so I am depending on your quote. I'm sure that many times we have all said things in such a way as to wish we could roll back the hands of time. I'm not so sure that this was not one of the one's that he would like to better explain. I would like him to do so if this is what the guy said. For a guy who speaks slower than others when answering questions, he sure sometimes seems to put his foot in his mouth. Here is the part that I'm kind of not sure how to say: I don't feel that there is a moral majority anymore here in the United States, and thought their churches are getting bigger and bigger, I think their numbers have hit their peak once again. Just like back during prohibition. I don't want to do anything that would would cause you to second guess your opinion about Obama, but I was wondering if you haven't already made up your mind about your choice for president? You seem to be one of the people who post here and are very good at expressing yourself. And being that you do make your points easy to understand, I do have a question for you. "Aren't you letting yourself get caught up in an attitude that is being guided by the popularity of alot of people by slinging mud at Obama, as opposed to posting about how your canidate has better views about what is most important to you?" I hear what you feel about Obama, but what are your feelings about the canidate of your choice? Is there things about your choice that may better help me to make my choice? You see, I'm am still among the undecided, and I will respect your opinion. Thanks, John |

Wow, you always focus on everything negative with Obama. Not hard to figure out that you absolutely hate him which I find interesting than many people who don't agree with his politics will tell you that they do like him. The last poll showed 70% of Americans felt that they shared Obama's values vs 66% for McCain and 60% for Clinton so I find it interesting that you cannot say anything positive about this man. So I guess you have never said anything that could be misconstrued? What he was actually saying makes complete sense, he just worded it poorly. Ever made a mistake like that? |

We have always known how Obama stands on abortion. He voted, while an Illinois Senator, for the partial birth abortion. While I disagree with abortion (I will not go soapbox, so everybody relax

I don't think the word punished should be used, but if someone decides they would like to use abortion, I'm all for it.
I don't really see birth to be as great as a miracle as many others do. However, I must say though I have never witnessed one, nor have I had a child yet. Therefore, my opinion may change in the future. And I don't see a baby as a "gift from God." If it were really a gift I wouldn't have to work for it, and neither would my future wife. Please believe me yano when the time come's for you and your partner to have a child, then you will see how wrong it is to have an abortion especially when it is legal to have an abortion after 20 weeks ,and you have had your first scan, and you can actually see your child in the mothers womb. -------------------- god my head hurts
