I'm an animal lover and recently decided to adopt a shelter dog, I have always heard that they make very loyal and loving companions. This past July I found Jax age 13 months online and fell in love with his picture. I bonded with him the moment we met. How someone could have abused this beautiful, loving dog sickens me. He has two pins in his rear leg from being beaten severely. He is smart, funny, loyal and loving!! I love this big guy more than any other animal I have had. The first picture was taken at "Save" the shelter we adopted him from. The second picture I took a couple weeks after we inherited this wonderful animal. Jax follows me everywhere and has quickly become my best friend.

I would recommend to anyone thinking of getting a new pet to check out your local animal shelter. You won't be disappointed.

That's a gorgeous shepherd, I would love to get my hands on the (the filter will bleep what I'm thinking here) "person", or better still let Jax go a round with them after he has his confidence back. Anyone who will beat an animal or child deserves to be put away.

Right now, I have one dog and four cats, all of them "strays" or abandoned by someone, and all of them absolutely the most wonderful companions I could hope for.

'allheart55' That a marvellous thing, you have done to save that beautiful Shepard Dog.The colours and face are enough to melt anyones heart. As you will find, the majority of Members here have Pets and absolutely adore them.
The Person that was so cruel to this Dog needs pegging out on an Ants nest.IMO.Let him suffer long, and feel real pain.

I do wish i had more space to have more animals myself and my wife are big animal lovers.
When i was younger we had a poodle who had been kept locked up in a bin and beaten, when we got her she was a bag of nerve's not sure of the detail's but the people who owned her were either jailed or fined for cruelty.
We had penny till she died for about 5yrs she was only 6yrs old when she died.
It's about time people were veted before they are allowed pets .

This might sound really harsh but, I believe people that have abused or neglected their pets should be made to suffer the same exact fate!! I have said "no more animals" the last two times we lost our 15 and 16 yr. old Shepherds. It hurts too much. I found that I miss the companionship and love that animals give so freely. Jax eyes say to me "Just love me". I have the unfortunate knowledge of name and address of his previous owners, thanks to my vet. He held paperwork with the name and address whited out up on the X-ray screen and I wish I really didn't see it. He made a complaint with the ASPCA in the county they reside in. In New Jersey, you apparently can abuse your animal without consequence as long as you seek vet care. What????

Yes I agree DSTM, it is a wonderful thing Allheart55 has done and wish more people would do it because the animals there are the most devine souls just waiting to be loved.

This is a subject very close to my heart and my husbands and I have zero tolerance for anyone who is cruel.

Yes I agree with you Allheart55 the abusers should go through the same treatment they gave out! angry.gif

I too wish I had more room for more of them. One of my dogs Mimi (mouse, monkey, monster, mimosa, rat) just a few names will call her....she was a RSPCA resident and she still suffers even after five years with us. She will cringe and move away from you if you move your hand to quickly to pat her and sudden loud noises gets her going at times as well.
A real little nerve pill. We think she was given a hiding a few times in her past.

I think even though when they pass away and we say no more, we really don't mean it, animal lovers just can't help themselves but share their love with another soul that so desperately needs it.

Who can deny such sad faces and welling of tears in their eyes? sad.gif

I don't about you guys but my Mimi will sit on my lap and shed tears when I give her massages or just sit on her behind, reach up so her head is under my chin and rest against me, which just melts my heart. in_love.gif

I just wish that Australian government would become serious about the creulty laws here, the laws are just to lax, though the RSPCA are continuosly fighting to get more harsher sentences.

We are the guardians of this Earth, here to protect what cannot protect themselves.
