Yes its almost Christmas again an the ACLU is at it again.

Time to make SURE that no one has a Good will on Earth and Pease to all man.

Fort Collins Co. has developed a "Holiday Diversity Taskforce" to ban colored lights and obvious Christmas displays, only to be allowed are white lights, snowflake, penguins, and such. They state that Christmas displays are"dangerous to our commonality"

WHAT????

Ok I Accept that other religions have their own holidays at this time, but in this country isn't there enough tolerance and room for everyone's holiday displays.

Fort Collins is to vote on this measure today.

If I were a religious person, and someone tried to tell me how I could or couldn't observe a religious holiday, I would be forced to tell them to go themselves!

We have that kind of problem over here all the time. Do not let it get to you, I try to ignore it as I would not give the rather sad people that enjoy ruining other peoples enjoyment any credence.

For the record though, I had fun only yesterday buying my daughter, Martha's Christmas present. She is nearly four and we bought her a large wooden farm complex, with two boxes of animals, farmer and wife and a very fine tractor. As I think my wife is buying me clothes , I cannot wait until my daughter and I play with the farm. Only a month and a bit to go!

Not a big fan of Christmas (especially considering the driving I'm going to have to do at $3+ a gallon). But penguins grace my house year round (Tux is my lil' buddy)

I'd like to say that I'm shocked by what Ft.Collins did but to tell the truth I'm not. There's more and more that the government at every level is telling us what we can and can't do and it's only going to get worse. As sad as it is Vicki ( good name by the way) there really isn't all that much tolerance in this country of other's religion's, beliefs, or life styles and I fear we are going to be seeing more and more of this same type of censorship.

Boo and hiss to all the grouches as surely the people who wish to have xmas trees and nativity scenes in their town are entitled to it - just as other religions can display something other if they wish.

The last few years seems to have gone a tad nutty when it comes to the Christmas season ... some grumble if we say, "Merry Christmas" ... others grumble if we say, "Happy Holidays". Who honestly cares what's said, surely it must be the thought that counts?
