A toy here has just been withdrawn from the Market here today, as it has put 2 children in Hospital in the last two days. Trying to find out the name of it. It ejects small beads which when Children swallow, can render them Comotose. The toy comes from Hong Kong.Evidently the glue used to hold the beads together, when swallowed turns into a substance known as GHB,also known as Fantasy or Liquid Extasy.

EDIT. The Toy is called BINDEEZ here.

It would seem that the Chinese have it in for our toddlers, Mattel has a recall on toys that were made for them in China which have high levels of lead in the finish of the toys.

Oh.. I heard about that DC3, all the popular toys, Barbie, barbie accessories etc. Is that still going on?

DSTM, I heard on the radio the recall of the toys, on my way home just then, I think Melbourne are now in the process of recalling as well, something about another small child?????

If you ask me cheap isn't always the best.

Just followed this up. Indeed another Toddler, 19 mths old, has been rushed to Hospital in Queensland. Must be serious to warrant being moved to a major Hospital. This is sad when it involves our Toddlers.
The Chinese have no regard for anybody or anything. One only has to research the the records of the Chinese, and read how they treat even their own people. You are right 'ghostwriter' The cheapest isn't always the best. thumbup2.gif
