I suspect there are nearly as many misconceptions between men and women as there are men and women – gentle smile – but here’s a couple.

Women aren’t as sexual as men. Men and women want and need sex as much as men do. Different things may trigger the urge of a man versus the urge of a woman but women as just as sexual. (Good news, right?)

Men often think women prefer to only be with attractive men. Suspect looks matter a lot more to a man than they do to a woman as most of us prefer a great personality and sense of humor over looks every time.

Men are more competitive than women.

Personally,I think Men see Women as a Visual and Sexual object,as Men have high Testosterone levels.Whereas Women look much deeper, and look for Qualities in a Man. Of course women will remark to one another with Quips such as," look at that hunk",but they are really seeking something more deeper and meaningful.
Young Men mostly, only want to get their Rocks off,as they say,whereas a woman regards the Sexual act, as much more important.
From my experience anyway,I have found women look for Romance,as well,when fulfilling their Sexual desires.

We have Viagra and breast implants. But no cure for Alzheimer's. This will eventually lead to a bunch of old men with ready weapons, and old ladies with big bazooms, with no idea what either are for.

Almost forgot - a while ago friends and I were discussing perceived differences between men and women and most thought men were, my nature, more vicious than women. Any thoughts?

I wonder if that perception isn't based on the possibility that men are in more positions where they might display that characteristic than women are?

I'm inclined to agree with you, JohnWho. A combination of that and perhaps society perpetrating the 'men will be men' attitude?

Do suspect however that if it were down to a crunch I'd have to agree with our friend that is a police officer. He swears there is nothing more vicious than a truly angry women or one who is protecting her children.

This I'm not sure of, there are some appearance traits that women can be just as much a stickler on as men can be. Short men are one example of this. I think there was a study once where a group of women were asked to rate a group of men as to which ones they would date, the only way the researchers could convince the women to consider the shorter men over their taller peers was to describe the taller men as "child molesters".
