QUOTE An adjacent shaft normally used to haul waste is being refitted so that rescuers can start hoisting 300 miners an hour to the surface by midnight local time, she said. Here's hoping that goes well. -------------------- |

I couldn't find any news on this story (Canadian news doesn't always give the same coverage), but hope like crazy all the men are safe above ground once again.

All are free no one is killed (no not our no one)
QUOTE No one was hurt during the ordeal. "I'm happy now because we are out and we are alive," said Granny Makau, one of the freed miners and one of scores of women working at Elandstrand. "No one died so we are happy," she said. CNN |
