On my way to college (I commute) there are two intersections that cause a big traffic jam everyday at the same times and it lasts for about 30+ minutes. I was wondering, who to contact about the timing in the lights? Or another way to fix this?

I was thinking about the county Engineer or what about the DOT (Department of Transportation)?

Hi Yano!! Is this intersection a problem just because of the 30 minute traffic jam or is it also a dangerous intersection? You have the right idea trying the Dept. of Transportation or you may want to try to contact who ever might be responsible for the upkeep on the traffic lights and/or traffic flow in the local area first. I really don't know what else you could do unless you had enough other people behind you wanting a possible correction for the problem.

I think you need to approach it from who maintains the road. State, county or city (twp)

I know of a lot of people who are mad because of it. I'm sure if I put our flyers over the campus I could give it more attention. As for it being dangerous, I think it is. There is usually a traffic accident in this (2 intersection) area once every two months.

What if I want to complain about a serious inconvenience? Like the traffic jams during certain hours. I almost want to reprogram the lights.
