Howdy! Yes, I do tend to like this forum.
Hopefully it doesn't turn into a flaming arena when the non-special peoples find it wink.gif

Hi everyone. Its great to hear from all of you. I look forward to the discussions.

Glunny, I don't think you have to worry about this site degrading into a flaming war. Being a spin off of the BC site, I think we will be just fine.

Good to see you all.

Ah, yes. It all began when I was 11 years old on a game known as Habbo Hotel.
As I registered, I wanted my name to be "Glen11", since my name is Glen, and I was, well, 11.
However, I was having a pre-teen short attention span spasm, and hence I hit the U button instead of the E. I saw my mistake, and Glun11 sounded kinda original, so I stuck with it.

I then discovered the infamous game known as Runescape. My Glun11 character was really screwed up, so I made a new one with two n's (Glunn11).

Finally, I found The Ship (GREAT FPS!) - and I needed a cool name. I like saying "woot", so I chose none other than Glunny Wootness.
biggrin.gif Crazy, eh?

But anyways, I really like this place! And it's quite an honor to be around all of you BC elders! biggrin.gif

laugh.gif If you have someone from WV pronounce Ohio, it sounds like O-hi-A. My grandma does this.

Hey! It's me, Matt!

Just an aging Yankee from a small New Hampshire town. My political views are just a bit right of center, although I can agree with moderate Democrats on occasion (too bad they're so rare). My religious convictions are... none. I'm a devout Atheist, although I don't reject everything about religion. Just the hocus-pocus, mumbo-jumbo, magic, and supernatural parts. Would that make me a "Conservative Atheist", or what? (I can just picture smoke coming out of far-Rightie ears now. cool.gif )

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was, "Don't take yourself too seriously". And I don't. That doesn't mean I'm never serious. But I do see the humor in most of what goes on around me. And I find people getting worked up about the stupidest things particularly amusing. And my sense of humor isn't blatantly obvious; sometimes it'll sneak up on you (hell, sometimes it even sneaks up on me!!)

I'm plain spoken, and am not, nor will I ever be, "politically correct". I won't try to "pretty-up" unpleasant truths so that they won't offend. Sometimes people need to be offended. It might drag some of 'em back into reality.

I'm interested in just about everything, though history and the etymology English language are favorites. I read just about everything that catches my eye, and my head is just full of useless bits of trivia.

So that's me. I'm here to have fun, and hopefully learn something new along the way. And who knows, maybe someone might learn something from me. cool.gif

Wow...that is the most pointless and long story I've ever heard, but somehow it was intresting lol.
