The ever popular Do Not Call List will expire in 2008.

The registry began in June 2003 and under the rules, phone numbers are protected only for five years. That means the early subscribers will have to renew next summer or start getting those annoying phone solicitations again.

QUOTE
The Federal Trade Commission, which oversees the list, said it's incredibly quick and easy for people to re-register their numbers. They can do it online or by phone.

It would be great to have something like this available for Canadians too, but thus far I've found nothing - drat! But bet there are scads of Americans who must love this service - thanks for posting both the info that the registry is about to expire and providing the link, boopme. smile.gif

Excellent "heads up" boopme.

Thanks.

I've been on the list, but will be renewing.

Many states, at least in the US, also have a comparable list. It never hurts to be on both.
