The unfolding mystery of an unidentified girl affectionately known as "little Pumpkin" when found abandoned in Australia. In due course she was identified as Qian Xun, and the body of her mother was discovered (after puzzling delay) in a car in New Zealand outside the family home. The child's martial arts expert father is a fugitive being sought in the US:

Sad story this one, Platypus. I think everyone in Australia and New Zealand are following this story. I heard today on the radio that the grandmother is with her in New zealand, somewhere in a secret location so they can bond with each other without the intrusion of the media.

I do hope that all goes well for both Little Pumpkin and grandmother and I do hope they catch the father and give him the punishment he so deserves for abandoning her all alone.

Then if he is proven to have murdered his wife I hope they throw him in jail for a very long time.

Just a really rotten thing to do to such a small child, let alone your own daughter!
