I love this site ... by scrolling down the page there are so, so many options to choose from - and nope, as the author of the site says, "no tasteless surprises" anywhere.

Hope you enjoy this optical illusions as much as I do.

(Was ever so tempted to add this in our Science section - hmmm, maybe I should have. Dither, dither - gentle smile).

It is a fun site - warps the mind, eyes, and ?

That is a good site. I like the explanations of the phenomenon too.

Yes, without the explanations undoubtedly I'd have driven myself batty trying to figure them out - gentle grin.

I won't consider it a 'highjacking' if others would like to post similar sites in this thread too - love things like this and it's always nice to know others enjoy them as well.

Not exactly the same, Mara, but the Color Matters website is very informative along a similar vein.

Great site - lots of fascinating info there and thanks so much for sharing it!

Colour is so vital to many of us - for myself, I suspect I must be 'odd' indeed as my favourite one is winter white. Anyway, laughed when I read the question, 'Does red make us happy?'. Can't speak for others but it's one of my least favourite colours and happy it does not make me - gentle grin.

Found the below on the site fascinating and a tad sad that someone - anyone - 'in charge' didn't figure this out ahead of time.

(Quote) " Deadly Color Matters

It was reported on CNN.COM that the US government had to change the color of their food aid parcels dropped in Afghanistan. It seems the bright yellow color of the food drops - which had been chosen because it stands out against the landscape - is the exact same shade of bright yellow of the cluster bomb. In other words, Afghanis may approach and handle unexploded bombs thinking they are food parcels. Note: Who was responsible for research and planning when choosing the color of this packaging". (Unquote).

Thanks again, JohnWho - love sites like these.
