Normal food only get you so far in life. After all how many ways can you cook a chicken? I like to eat some weird things. Just wondering if you do to.
Heres a list of the wild animals that I like:
1)Deer (a must have),
2)Rattlesnake,
3) Dove and pheasant (yummy little snacks but not much more),
4) Squirrel,
5) Raccoon,
6) Wild Pig/boar

The things I wont eat again
1) Possum (nasty filthy creature)
2) Groundhog and Gopher (greasy artery clogging food kills the flavor)
3) Duck (greasy bird, ever wonder why they dont get soaking wet?)

Egad and yuck to the rattlesnake! But then again that snakes are the one thing that truly terrify me in this life - eep and grin!

Venison is great, I agree (although any fat left only it has a nasty tendency to stick on the roof of my mouth - ick!) ... never had a dove but as you said pheasants are yummy but there isn't much to them.

We don't have wild pigs here but bear meat is pretty good if, and only if, one soaks it in milk overnight and then drain well before roasting. (Otherwise it's stringy and 'wild' tasting').

Oh dear, ducks are lovely to munch on. As is a goose. But only if one takes a skewer and pokes the pooey out of them all over the place first - and then place them on an oven roasting pan with the 'catch' pan half full of water. The holes help the grease pour out while cooking and without the water in the 'catch' pan, your poor oven fills with grease and smokes something fierce.

And we won't get into the 'joys' of chewing on whale blubber - grin.

Venison = excellent . had dove a long time ago also , little bite sized breast pieces , very good. Rabbit is pretty good as well. I am so hungry right now laugh.gif .
