I'll start this off and do hope others will share photos/stories of their furry little friend too.

The cat on the left is a 'reject' by two other families before we took him a few years ago. Poor thing literally hid under the sofas and bed for many months and would only come out for food if no one was around. Nearly a year later he finally was brave enough to venture onto our bed - although we still weren't permitted to reach for or pat him.

But one day, my husband was in a great deal of pain and I was caring for him and poof!, kitty went straight into 'protection phase' - hissed, clawed and tried to bite me - undoubtedly thinking he was helping Glen. Eep! Took a long time to teach him that I was not 'the enemy' but thankfully now he just paces wildly on the bed when it happens.

Getting our other kitty was a huge help - she's a cuddle bum and has helped calm him down a great deal. Great companions and we love both the fur-balls dearly.

Its only natural that I share my Loving (sometimes, LOL) animals too.

Oreo was a shelter cat that Steph picked out of the local SPCA for a Valentines day present. We picked him up under the assumption that HE was actually a SHE. Needless to say he is now a "Daddy's Cat" since I feed him. He's been fixed.

SugarBritches was adopted from a local "Cat Lady" who Steph met. Her Name comes from a conversation I had with the Property Manager one groggy Monday morning when we weren't living together (She called to talk about the rental agreement and I was expecting Steph to be on the other end so I answered "Hey SugarBritches I'll be over in a Minute" needless to say my face was red when we signed the lease 3 days later) She hates me. (the cat)

Boone (aka Boone-dog) is my 13th beagle. I love these dogs Friendly, good natured, and not big enough to hurt too bad if they play rough. He's from a friend of ours who decided he was too much of a hassle in her small one bedroom apartment. He my dog and there can be no doubt about that.

Lovely animals, BlackSpyder! How lucky they are to find someone like you with a large heart to take them in and make them part of your family.

Literally burst into laughter reading how 'SugarBritches' got her name - and that she (the cat) hates you! Too funny! And you have my sympathy - Glen gave me a little 'coon' kitten one Christmas and even as a tiny wee creature she preferred him (sigh!). He'd go to work and she'd be my 'best friend' but the moment he was due home she'd sit at the door waiting for him and pretend I didn't exist the rest of the entire night. Enough to give a girl a complex!

I truly envy you being able to have 'Boone-dog'. I've love to have a dog once again but our neighbour has a Beagle that I get to cuddle on a regular basis - smart and so friendly.

I have two mostly Siamese cats, one came from the SPCA and the other from my local vet., both are now sixteen years old and still going strong. Rocky Raccat is a male sealpoint and Natasha Nastynkski is a female bluepoint, Natasha also answers to the name Booboo and is referred to as the bovine feline, it's an udder disgrace to see her run. I will have to have pictures of them digitized so that I can post them here.

I have three kitties still among the living:

Radar came from a pet shop, and is named after a certain M*A*S*H character! tongue.gif He can open doors with handle doornobs, and jumps a foot in the air at any sudden noise. He loves everybody. smile.gif

Fluffy is an ex-stray. She no longer has any desire to leave the house, being content to sleep on my parent's bed and purr at my father...she's daddy's little girl. wink.gif

Misty is another ex-stray. She still spends most of her time outside, where she brings us "gifts," and eats some if she's hungry (GROSS!!!!!). She comes home for shelter, food, and petting...lots of petting. lmfao.gif

Darling kitties, DSTM and I bet they are true furry friends to you. Your Suzie looks much like our Pussy Willow, don't you think?

I had to laugh when I read your Misty brings 'gifts', rms4evr - I understand the "gross!" completely! Waking up to a half dead snake dropped on one's chest or munched birdies plopped on your face in the early morning hours - yuck!! Lovely cats and thanks for adding their photos.

Looking forward to seeing your photos added too, Blackmirror and Rawe smile.gif
