I came down with the flu this weekend. The fever broke yesterday in torrents of sweats, and I figured I was getting better. Which was a really good thing considering the lectures at the university start up again today.

What I hadn't counted on was spending the night coughing until i thought my head would explode, and having to get up to blow my nose every 20 minutes. I slept maybe half an hour last night.

Now I have just gotten through a boring four hour introductory lecture and have such a splitting headache you wouldn't believe. To add insult to injury I picked up a fantasy book (a little reality escape sounded like a good idea at the time). Turns out its about a magical healer who can practically cure the flu with a snap.

I am now deciding whom to strangle, or whether should just strangle myself. And the more daunting question: Do I have the energy to lift my hand that high? sad.gif

Oooooh, you poor thing - gentle hug! There's that old saying that goes something like, "So sick I worried I was going to die - then so so sick I worried I wouldn't!".

I suggest trying to strangle a bottle of Jack Daniels. Always makes mine go away (might be the alcohol or the "purging" that follows not sure)

Around here we spell it "Moanday" for all the applicable reasons.
Which is followed by Twosday as it's really a second Moanday.

Chicken soup and lots of juices with the 40% alcohol additive of your choice?

BTW: FLU = feeling lousy until...
