My new pet goldfish...

I got a goldfish and a cool bowl with a bubbling thingy in it.

After getting everything set up, I've watched him swim around for about an hour.

Then I took the goldfish for a walk to get it familiar with the neighborhood.

Stubborn little thing; I had to drag it the whole time and now that I've put it back in the bowl it is pouting and simply floating on the top.

I did not know that goldfish are so temperamental and uncooperative.

Now it won't eat, either.

In 1971 I was living in an apartment while attending my freshman year of college and was given a blender with a broken blade, it was useless as a blender but was great for a fish bowl, I had a goldfish that we named anticipation. tongue.gif

An apt name to call a goldfish as the silly things usually die in no time - gentle smile. In fact, I can think of few other 'pets' that make a worse gift for a child - unless one plans on watching them weep endlessly become 'Goldie' is once again dead in the bowl. Yuck.

My sister's goldfish lasted for about 6 years and it was one of those cheap ones you get at the local fair lol.

Well, I've been reluctant to post anything else in this thread.

Sadly, the stubborn goldfish starved itself to death.

On a more positive note,

I've discovered that my cat likes seafood!
