Yesterday the reigning Tae Kwon Do champ, from Cuba, kicked and punched the referee. This act was way out of line. I believe he will be and should be banned from all competition and stripped of all awards ever earned. If I were the judge I'd even pres assault charges.
I instruct this form and this is a serious error in judgment and performance. TKD takes misuse of the martial art very seriously.

That story here:
Matos faces lifetime ban after kicking referee following match

Also in the Men's relay, though I cannot find a reference to it,a British runner was taunting the pack he was leading. He was winning the relays by a large margin. Instead of continuing to race to the finish line he needed to slow down turning abit and wave the baton at the trailing runners.

The Cuban is banned.

I have not viewed the 'Brit', so do not know who is guilty, but can easily imagine what occured.

Unfortunately the nouveau culture, foisted upon us here through Government endorsed media engineered peer pressure, applauds idiots, so little will happen to him.

Disgraceful if fact, and most un-British in fact.
