Watched an interesting Documentary, on TV,about a Professors work with Stem Cells.Showed actual operations, on sheep where he implanted Human stem Cells, into the feotus of Sheep, resulting in the sheep being 15% humanized. When asked if he could guarantee that Stem Cell fusion wouldn't occur,he said he couldn't.To me, this is a worry, because if this did happen,we could end up with Human Hybrids.

Human Hybrids, yes, but they'll get better gas mileage!
Seriously, I agree. I can see some serious problems with this. -------------------- |

I'm of the belief that your show didn't go inot depth about any given portion about stem cell research.
I don't belive the professor explained that though human stem cells were implanted they cannot form human structures without more biological information as to what you want the cells to form. Some countries have been using the cells from people who's bladders are cancerous to grow entirely new bladders. They take stem cells, put them in petrie dishes, and the good cells from the person who's bladder is diseased. They then spray an anatomically correct form with the combination of these calls to provide an enviroment for them to grow to fruition where they then become a perfect clone of the patients bladder. These people then do not need any antibiotic drugs to help them keep the implant from being rejected, because the body recognizes the implant as one of it's own. (which it is) I don't think you have to worry about any minitars running about the planet. LOL This post has been edited by unjustjohn: Jun 13 2008, 09:49 PM |

A Centaur is half man, half horse. A Minotaur half man, half bull. Never heard of a Symitar. But maybe it could be a half man, half sheep?
