Is Pastor Wright "really" a friend & supporter of Barack Obama?

Pastor Wright is making his rounds around the country right now, in defense, of none other than HIMSELF. Defending the indefensible. IE: The United States manufacturing the aids virus to kill off blacks in Africa. The chickens have come home to roost, regarding 9/11 & of course the G-Damm America comments--over America inventing crack/cocain--in order to throw black men in prison for the rest of their lives.

Juan Williams a democrat, African Americn commentator of Fox News is convinced of something: He is saying that Pastor Wright WANTS Barack Obama to lose this election, so that Pastor Wright can prove his point. That America is a white racist country.

After listening to Pastor Wright it becomes clear that he is narcisstic. One who believes he is the all powerful, & has no conscience regard to the consequences of others who surround him. (Barack Obama) Inferring today, that an attack on him is an attack on all black churches. Wright basically annointed himself supreme speaker of all black churches in this country.

Wright then goes on to say that Barack Obama will say what he has to say as a politician. Inferring that Barack Obama really doesn't mean what he says, he just says it to get elected, "with a wink & a nod to Pastor Wright".

Finally, he will not apologize for any of his remarks as that would be like talking against his "mama". Indicating that he is not going to change his hateful rhetoric, because it is the "black traditional church" theme that his mama, his papa & his grandparents believed.

When asked if he was patriotic: Wright states he served 6 years in the Marines, & then says that Dick Chenney never served. Timothy McVey also served in the U.S. military, was honorably discharged, & was later found guilty of the horrific Oklahoma city bombing.

I listened to two African American church-going women today, who are outraged at Pastor Wrights country trotting campaign. They strongly disagree that all black churches are like Trinity, & say that they are in the minority.

Something new came out of Pastor Wright today.
We all know that Wright was dis-invited to the announcement of the Obama campaign. According to Wright, he was hidden in the basement. He says he prayed with the Obama family just prior to the announcement.

I don't know what Barack Obama saw in this man. I don't know if he attached to Pastor Wright, because his own father abandoned him at 2 years old? What is disturbing is that Obama had his two young daughters sitting there listening to this maniac. Obama sat there for 20 years.

While Obama still has not thrown Pastor Wright under the bus, & run over him a few hundred times. It appears to me that Pastor Wright has thrown Barack Obama under his bus.

One would think that the majority of African Americans would be furious with Pastor Wright. Here is the first African American presidential candidate who really has a chance of winning the Presidency. Yet Wright is getting standing ovations from about every group he is in front of?

Barack Obama has been betrayed by his own mentor.

What does it matter - in 20 years nothing that Wright ever said or did affected Obama anyway.

There is a big difference between your political and spiritual beliefs. I believe I gave a story about my history on this topic before since mine parallel's Obama's and believe those of us that have actually experienced this, you can easily separate the 2.

As far as his comments recently, I agree with Juan Williams, I think Obama has also hurt Rev Wright in his distancing himself and now he's lashing out proving that they are separate thinking people. I believe this whole thing will help Obama in the eyes of the people, not hurt him

Assuming, of course, that the recent words of both isn't being somewhat orchestrated.

Eliminating or ignoring 20 years of influence won't be easy, and in this case, certainly shouldn't.

There is religious influence (do good, love one's fellow man) and political influence. It may be that Wright had the former, but I seriously doubt that some of his strange political doctrines have had any influence of an Harvard-educated lawyer. For the Record, the link below is to a complete transcript of Obama's statement at the press conference:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/29/us/polit...amp;oref=slogin

"But when he [Wright] states and then amplifies such ridiculous propositions as the U.S. government somehow being involved in AIDS, when he suggests that Minister Farrakhan somehow represents one of the greatest voices of the 20th and 21st century, when he equates the United States wartime efforts with terrorism, then there are no excuses. They offend me. They rightly offend all Americans. And they should be denounced. And that's what I'm doing very clearly and unequivocally here today."

I wonder which of those views the woman Obama is sleeping with shares?

I wonder if she has any influence over how Obama thinks?

Just wondering.

Many African Americans who are pastors, are speaking out against Pastor Wright. One specifically stated tonight, that the relationship with Pastor Wright & Obama was an abuser/victim relationship. Obama being abandoned by his father at two, then being black & white, was searching for an identity. He found Trinity church 20 years ago as a young man, & then attached to Wright. He states that Obama knew that Wright said lots of weird, unimaginable things, but just could not leave the relationship out of his attachment to this man. He relates to a woman who has been abused. "They have to be abused 7 times longer, before they leave, than a person who has never been abused." Shawn Hannity tonight, said this was the best explanation he has heard yet, as to why Obama stayed in that church for so long. This finally makes sense to me too.

Pastor Wright used Barack Obama to get his 15 minutes of center stage. I think when Obama finally saw that this man is really no father figure to him, he lashed back.

The polls are indicating that Obama has been hurt by this. 70% of democrats polled stated that. Obama has lost 7 points over this.

I think that Obama will eventually recover from this, as long as we hear no more from Pastor Wright.

When I was a kid, I earned my bible for attending sunday school for a month of sundays.
Late in my teen years I was Saved in a Holy Roller Baptist Church.
And throughout it all I never really believed in most of what those leaders were telling me.
I do believe in my God, but I don't belive in any religion.
And that brings me to this point: "shouldn't this whole topic of conversation be over ibn the religion department?"

UJJ - strickly speaking we were not discussing religion but a man's twist and misuse of said topic.

As far as Rev. Wright is concerned - for someone who hates rich white people, he obviously has no problems with rich black men, 'cause he's loaded.

Bill Orielly will be releasing Rev. Wright's net worth on the factor today and we'll all see this man's reasoning is skewed.

Is a white man's money different than a black man's? I thought all dollars spent the same way.

I absolutely agree with everything Hannity said, and being Bi-racial myself, I completely agree with a sense of need to find an identity. And Orea, I think your opinion is right, but I do think he'll recover, he just too good a speaker to let this kill him
