So which do you use. I use both stock 2 channel (for light work and stuff) and TV Surround Sound (for gaming).

I've got a surround sound system on my PC

and another on the TV in my computer room.

Guess I'm really surrounded, huh?

I have the 5.1 ss for the main PC. (I don't game and I get freaked out every once in a while with some video clips.)

I don't even have all the speakers hooked up for the flat screen TV.

Logitech z-5300e I think 5.1 surround sound on my desktop. I have a HD tv tuner card so I have tv surround sound too but in the poll I put only on the computer. This thing is great being THX certified and 280watts! Puts some thump into tv and movies(and music!).

I run a similar setup to dc3.

My desktop supports 7.1 but I only run a small 2.1 setup there. I use the big LCD TV as my main monitor and run the sound to a 1000w Phillips Home Theatre 5.1. Not too bad.

I have a regular 2.1 speaker system, but its a 50W system and for my small room, it packs a power punch with beautiful bass smile.gif

You haven't felt BASS until you get a nice system, I mean it amazed me over what I thought was a good BASS on my cheap 2.1 system.

I'll agree with that, especially for gaming when you can actually feel the explosions.

I know what good bass is, I'm a bassist tongue.gif

And on my TV I have a 5.1 setup with a nice big 150W subwoofer. The setup made Saving Private Ryan my favorite movie tongue.gif.

nothing like watching House of 1000 Corpses in a dark room with a 3000w system with 2) 15" subs, 2) 10" subs, 2) 8" speakers 4) 6"x9" 3 ways, and 4) tweeters. All in a little 10' x10' room. "Run, Rabbit, Run".
