Im not big on Sushi but Hibachi steak is awesome. Been meaning to try some real sushi (california rolls and whatnot) now that we actually have a Sushi bar in salem now (just opened last week) until now we were getting it from various Oriental Buffets (they call themselves Chinese but its like no Chinese I had in nashville)

If you want to try sushi. I recommend you try a piece with Toro and Maguro(blue fin Tuna, Uni (sea Urchin), Shiro Maguro(white tuna) and Unagi (eel served warm w/ teriyaki sauce). A piece of salmon (also called sake) and salmon toro also good. My favorite is the Uni w/ a raw quail egg on it. I eat most pieces sashimi ,no rice, it's actually the flavored rice that is called sushi. By the way sushi is finger food to the Japanese so you don't actually need to use the Hashi.
Ask if they have red bean ice cream. |
