I'm an elder now. Retired Military as some know.
When I hear of the passing of a member I served with I grieve.

I just learned today of the death of a great Lady.
A former USAF Nurse.
She was never awarded great medals or high honors.
She was, after all, only a Nurse.

She cared for me in a time of my need long ago.
She looked after many others also - I have no idea how many thousands she looked after otherwise.

I was privileged to communicate with her for just a few years thereafter.
I'm sorry to say I lost track over the last 15 years or so.

!!!Ladies - get a heart check physical - today!!!

This Lady was only 49.........

Arlenea - You will not be forgotten!

Kiss the ones you love, and punch the ones you only like.... ha ha ha

Yes, I too am sorry to hear of this lady's death. Nurses always hold a special place in my heart for it is often they that make the literal difference between life and death for so many. May your friend Arlenea live on in your heart and the heart of others always.

(And yes, it's truly shocking that so, so many women die from heart disease, including young women - huge, huge sigh).
