You know, kids in my grade have an idea like this to use as a Senior prank.
Apparently, uncured marijuana, although it can't be used for drugs, grows like a weed. So, we throw some seeds in the courtyard, outside, and a few other places, and see how long it takes the administration to figure out exactly what that wierd plant is that's growing outside their window.  If we do it, it's going to be hilarious.

I think I would avoid such. I know of a former military officer who was party to a similar prank played upon another more senior military officer. Tho' it really was supposed to be good fun intended to harm no one. This officer was tried, found guilty of a 2nd degree felony, spent 90 days in civilian jail (reduced sentence), was dismissed from service, and has a felony record for life. He was 23 years old when this happened. Others involved were simply dismissed from service. (A dismissal from service for an officer is equivalent to a Dishonorable Discharge for enlisted personnel.) -------------------- The only easy day was yesterday....
