How are you going to decide who's gunna be moderators and other things, if you decide to have other mods at all?

As for mods, they will be added as we grow a bit a more. I am a big believer in moderators picking themselves instead of my picking them if that makes sense. |

True, wehere can certainly do this for now, but I suspect some gentle moderation may become necessary when the gates are opened for all. At least some people other than Grinler should be able to do routine maintenance (moving posts around for example) or deleting the really vulgar posts that might appear.

Wait and see Yoda as the site grows Mods and other Administrators will be needed (Im just guessing I dont speak for Grinnler, Just going by every other forum ive been on Tech and non tech related) but until then lets not worry about things such as that and enjoy our moment to play in our private sandbox and do a good job testing this bad Boy Out.

We have the luxury of seeing how Grinler has done this on BC.
I'd say the board is still in the testing, setup, and what is generally termed "beta" process right now, and those of us involved in this process should respect the fact that we've been chosen to help Grinler in this endeavor. One would hope, and I'd say even expect, that we would have the wisdom to moderate ourselves if it appears necessary. On BC, we can see that there are a number of staff members in various levels of administrative capabilities - Admins/Global Mods/Mods/Advisors - and even a few speciality HJT levels. I would not be surprised to see something appropriatly similar set up on this board before the board goes "live". -------------------- I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant! |

I totally agree blackspyder, let's give 'er a test drive and see where we end up but as you said we may as well have a little fun doing it this testing phase will only last so long. P.S. You had asked me about Findley Ohio I believe, is your truck still up there.
