I read today on CNN.com that President Hugo Chavez's referendum to allow him to basically serve as president of Venezuela until his death was shot down by the people of Venezuela. This also prevents him from having complete control over the rich oil that so many around the world, especially the US, buy to fuel their own countries. Is this act by the people of Venezuela a prelude to a radical change in government structure and policy in Venezuela or just a minute occurrence?

I checked the gallop polls this morning and Clinton is leading the polls with an overwhelming 43%. Is there any republican candidate that stands a chance against this democratic juggernaut or is it all a bust for the conservative party?
