This is something I know nothing about, but the question intrigues me, so I thought I'd see what anyone else may know about this.

One of my daughters is pregnant. She has also developed a head cold. So her immune system is going to be producing antibodies and such to fight the cold off. The question is:

Can this activity by the mother's immune system be passed on to the baby? In other words, could the baby be born with a stronger immune system, more resistant to colds and such?

I've encountered babies that would get colds a couple of times a year, and others that almost never got sick. Seems to me that there must be a reason.

Sad Story

Anyone had any experience, or know someone that has, with this? The welfare of people that answered the call of this country to serve is obviously less important than the almighty dollar. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Thought it might be interesting to find out where we all live. I live in, and grew up in, the town of Troy, NH. It's a nice little place; 95% forest, the wildlife far outnumbers the human, and since the population is small (about 2000) everyone knows of practically everyone else.

When you post a response, please include a link to the town/city web page, if you can.

A guy walks into a bar and sees two familiar looking people sitting at a table in the back. He asks the bartender if they're reall Pres. Bush and Dick Cheney. The bartender says they are, so the guy decides to go over and say hello. So he went over, introduced himself, and was invited to sit down. He takes a seat and asks what they're doing. He's told they're planning WW III.

"World War Three?", he says. "What'll that do?" The president replies, "It'll kill about a hundred million Koreans and Iranians, and a bicycle repairman."

"Why", the guy asks, "kill a bicycle repairman?"

"Y'see, Cheney", says the President, "I told you no one cares about a hundred million Koreans and Iranians."

There are a lot of different programs on that require a little thought. There are a lot that don't. So, what do you like to put the brain in neatral and veg-out to?

For me, it's courtroom shows. Judge Joe Brown, The People's Court, etc. It doesn't take any thought to watch vindictive fat broads suing each other over cell phones. laugh.gif
